The Auction...
In 1998, John & Lucile Britt will be selling off another collection. This collection will be auctioned off by Jim Seeck as the auction for the 1998 International Carnival Glass Association convention, which will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel near the Kansas City International Airport in Kansas City, Missouri. This event will take place in August.

Since the auction listing (which is currently being put together by www.cga member Bob Nehring) won't be available for some time, this page, as well as page 4, is just a sample of the nearly 400 pieces which will be available.

Want any of these? The lovely red Peacock's Tail bowl on the left is better than the picture. The Soutache piece is one of the few gorgeous ones, and everyone needs an Orange Tree mug in blue, right?

Sure, you say, I have one of those Grape & Cable bowls on the left. But with a handle? Also, this gorgeous European beauty in the center just sings to you. And the right? They're not identical, but fraternal twins.

Scales plates in stunning amethyst (like the one on the left) will always bring great luck to those who own one. This unbelievable Dugan BLUE vase (center) was actually purchased only a few short months ago from a member of www.cga who I bet wishes she had it back. And hey, electric blue (on right)! Need we say more?

How many of you have always wanted to own an ice blue Poinsettia bowl (left)? Again, electric blue Flowers & Frames (center)! Wow! And finally, you'll have everything you need for a fisherman's tale with this green IC Trout & Fly (right)!

Victorian is one of those really cool patterns you don't see that much of (left). How about this fine example of Rose Tree (center)? And this Pony bowl (right) would make even Roy Rogers cry.

Everyone needs a little Good Luck now and then (left). Can you guess the color of this one??? Also, John & Lucile are selling their two versions of the Courthouse bowl: unlettered (left) and lettered (right). What does that mean? The unlettered one was run through the mould before it was completed to see kind of how it would turn out. The lettered one is the finished product. Which one is more valuable?

Most witches would love to have some Dragon's Tongue in their cupboard (left). If Roy Rogers wasn't crying before, he will now. This Ice Green Pony bowl (center) also has the peculiar ability to do what it is doing on the right. Think Trigger could do that???
