Convention Program
Our 2009 Convention Program features a variety of
education, entertainment, buying, selling and eating opportunities.
With something for everyone and a variety of surprises, we strive to
make your convention experience one to remember. Here is a
brief glimpse at our activities scheduled for the week:
- The wwwcga Golf
Invitational
Wednesday features a golf tournament at the Greenville Country
Club (site of the American Legion National Tournament) hosted by auctioneer Jim Wroda and Mike Mills. Prizes will be given for longest
putt, longest drive and closest to the pin. The total
cost of the Golf Tournament is $40 per player, and includes 18
holes, cart, lunch cookout (all-inclusive) and prizes. If
you need club rentals, please coordinate with Jim Wroda in
advance. The golf tournament kicks off at 10:30 a.m., so
meet at the auction center at 9:00 a.m.
- Carnival Glass Show and Sale
Vintage and Contemporary
Carnival glass will be on sale during the convention at booths
in our facility. Anyone can setup and sell, and anyone can
buy (pre-registration required due to space.) Come enjoy a different way of buying and selling
carnival glass that drew raves last year. Open Wednesday
6:00 p.m. - Friday 6:00 p.m. Dealer setup is Noon to 6:00
p.m. Wednesday.
- "Ultra Rare Millersburg"
This presentation by Raymond Miller will features pieces rarely
seen and not seen before, including some "only one knowns" and a
few surprises.
- "Ultra Rare Northwood"
This presentation by Tom Mordini features rare and valuable
pieces manufactured by Northwood, including some of the most
sought after pieces in carnival.
- Late Night Bonfire Buffet
This late night activity mixes fun, good food, music by the fire
and late night carnival fun. Who knows, maybe a real
"midnight auction?"
- Fenton/Stretch Glass Auction
This Friday morning auction features 300 pieces of collectible
Fenton, including real rarities and some gorgeous glass.

- Live Whimsey Auction
Have a chance to purchase a rare Woodsland Pine whimsey made by
the Fenton Art Glass Company during our live whimsey auction.
- Formal Banquet
Our banquet this year features fine linens and silver, and a
touch of class. The food will be amazing once again, as
provided by the world famous Fairlawn Steakhouse of Greenville.
- "Remembering Fenton Glass"
by George Fenton
George Fenton, President of the historic Fenton Art Glass
Company, is our featured keynote presentation during our Formal
Banquet. George will walk down memory lane, reminiscing
about the famous personalities and history of his storied
organization, the founder of carnival glass. George will
also be available to sign pieces and take photos with attendees.
- Top Notch Carnival Glass
Auction
Jim Wroda and his fantastic auction company will sell a superior
collection of fine carnival glass on Saturday morning.

Convention
Registration
Once again, our
convention features a "one fee" approach. There is a
registration fee of $20 per person for this event, which includes
all food events (banquet as well), hospitality, exhibit booths,
tables, etc.
Convention
Facility
Our convention will
be held at the Greenville Auction Facility. This renovated
facility features free wireless internet, spacious and comfortable
hospitality area with big screen television, luxurious bathrooms,
RV parking and more. Directions to Auction Facility: Conveniently located off of
Interstate 70 in western Ohio.
From I-70 westbound take the Rt. 49 N exit (24). Go approx.
25 miles North to Greenville, the Auction facility will be on your
right at the intersection of Rt. 49 and Rt. 127.
From I-70 eastbound take the Rt. 127 North exit. Go approx.
20 miles to Rt. 49 exit. Turn left and the auction facility will be
on your right. We are approx. 30 minutes from the Dayton
International Airport.
Hotels
Guests are encouraged to register at the
Greenville Inn. Prices for this hotel are: 2 double beds =
$69.95. 1 King or 2 Queens = $79.95. Mention "wwwcga
